Joe Armstrong talks Erlang

InfoQ has an excellent presentation on Erlang in which Joe Armstrong, author of Erlang, talks about the language, its applications and fundamental differences between OOP and message passing. What struck me most was that, according to Joe, the way we do things most often is to him the most unintuitive, the most difficult and the most damaging way and he certainly offers more worthy alternatives. He is also very witty and very entertaining in his analogies – all in all a very interesting way to spend half an hour. Joe has also written a book on Erlang.
